Take part in the city's carers consultation

Sheffield City Council wants to hear what young and adult carers think about the Young Carer, Parent and Adult Carer Strategy. This city-wide plan sets out how organisations can help improve carers’ lives. You can read the current Strategy, which runs until the end of 2020, here.

There are several dates for the consultation and these will take place using the video meeting tool, Zoom. At the meetings, you will be asked some questions mainly focused on the Carers Principles (read more about them here) to see how you feel about them and if there’s anything else the Council need to add or take out.

To attend, please email carers@sheffield.gov.uk. If you can’t make any of these dates, the Council still want to hear from you by using that email or by phoning Emma Dickinson on 07584 386 707 or Frazer Kirk on 07717 713 694.

  • Wednesday 14 October, 2-4pm

  • Monday 2 November, 2-4pm

  • Thursday 5 November, 4-6pm

  • Friday 13 November, 4-6pm

"It is important for us to hear what you think and feel. You are the expert in your life so we need to hear from you to make sure we get things right for carers. Your thoughts and ideas will help plan our strategy and improve services for young carers and adult carers all over Sheffield.” Sheffield City Council
