CGL Children and Families Worker (full-time) - 14 hours per week with Sheffield Young Carers

An exciting opportunity has arisen within CGL’s the Corner, for you to join their multi-disciplinary team delivering interventions that empower young people to reduce risk, build resilience, and lead safer, healthier lives.  

The role is a Children and Families Worker - co-located with Sheffield Young Carers - to support children and young people impacted by familial substance use on a one-to-one and group basis in a confidential space.

The role will deliver a wide range of interventions/education though activities, such as games, arts and crafts and emotional wellbeing resources. You will engage children, young people and families across Sheffield Young Carers and the Corner in a range of support interventions, with a view to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults, increase familial resilience and prevent intergenerational childhood trauma.

This post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check at an enhanced level.

Contract: Fixed Term Contract until 31st March 2028

Hours: 37.5 hours. Includes evening work (with notice and time off in lieu).

Salary: CGL points 23 to 28 (£28,557.79 - £32,802.41)
