Sheffield Healthy Holidays – Like last year, Sheffield Healthy Holidays are offering tons of free online activities for all young people across the city. All you need is an email address to sign-up and that’s it, you’ve now got loads of free activities at your fingertips. So, whether it is Bollywood dancing or hula-hooping, there are so many different activities to get stuck into, with a chance to win prizes as well!

Heeley City Farm – Located in the heart of the city, Heeley City Farm is a must-visit for all animal lovers out there. The free farm is open 7 days a week and even boasts a playground for under 8-year old’s. Alongside this, there is a café on-site, as well as a community recycling center, and we haven’t even mentioned the different animals that are on the farm! Whilst the farm is free, Heeley City Farm appreciate donations of just £2, which enables them to continue providing fun for all.

Graves Animal Park – Like Heeley City Farm, Graves Animal Park is a free to enter animal farm. There are plenty of different animals to go see, with the option to buy food to feed them too. There is also a playground on-site, as well as a café where refreshments can be purchased. This is definitely a great way to spend a lovely summers day!

Weston Park Museum – Fancy seeing what Sheffield looked like in the 1950’s? Perhaps you want to get the chance to see what some of nature’s most beautiful animals would look like in person? Or maybe you’ve always wanted to see some Roman treasures? Well, at Weston Park Museum you can do all three for free! There are also plenty of other cool exhibitions to check out, so make sure to visit Weston Park Museum if this sounds something you’d like to do (Weston Park is free, but they encourage a £4 donation to help them continue their work).

Padley Gorge - One of the best things about Sheffield for many is how close it is to the beautiful Peak District. One great place in the Peak District for a low-cost high-fun family day out is Padley Gorge. There is a stream for paddling in, as well as some amazing walking routes, including the Longshaw Estate. Additionally, there are lots of shaded spots about to keep cool.

Highfield Adventure Playground - What’s better than an adventure playground!? At Highfield Adventure Playground there is a zip wire, tunnel slide as well as water pumps in the outdoor playground. And if the weather isn’t great, there are indoor facilities too, which includes an indoor play area, pool tables and table tennis! There are also arts and craft sessions held in the indoor area, so look into them if that’s something you’d enjoy.

Animal Club Worksheets – If for whatever reason going out isn’t possible (it is British summer after all, there most definitely will be rain at some point!), then Animal Club have got loads of fun worksheets that can be downloaded or printed off and completed at home.
