We’re delighted to share some great news with you all - Maki & Ramen have chosen SYC to be their Charity Partner for their brand new Sheffield restaurant at Meadowhall!
For those who don’t know Maki & Ramen, they are a chain of Japanese restaurants who opened in 2015 and have been having a huge impact on the communities that they serve since. Maki & Ramen understand the power that local charities/organisations have in creating lasting change in people’s lives and have a strong commitment to building a more compassionate, inclusive and supportive world.
Across their stores (Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle to name a few!), Maki & Ramen have different charity partners that they select and work with to make a real difference. These amazing charities cover a range of crucial causes including LGBTQ+ young people, homelessness, poverty and recovery.
As Maki & Ramen’s charity for their Sheffield store, we’ll be sharing updates on our work together and encouraging you to support us through eating ramen - yep, you heard that right! When you buy any ramen between 4pm-8pm on a Tuesday, £1 from every sale will very kindly be donated to SYC.
We’d like to thank Maki & Ramen for the brilliant support that they have already offered since we first started working together, which includes providing vouchers for young people and families that we are working with this Christmas, gifting vouchers as raffle prizes at the recent Sheffield and District Junior Lawyers Division Annual Ball and having some of staff and trustees along at their family & friends night to try the Maki & Ramen experience before the store officially opened.
