We are so excited and thrilled to share that we have received an award of Excellence for Carers from Carers Trust!
All carers organisations are encouraged to apply for the award as a way of marking quality. There are 10 standards with a number of key indicators including signposting, peer support and advocacy which organisations have to meet in order to receive the award. Which we are pleased to say we achieved!
It is a real privilege to have been successful and to have been recognised on a national scale for our work supporting young carers. We also received some lovely feedback that we are so proud of. They said we are a young carer centred organisation, involving young people at all levels including strategic decision-making and staff recruitment. It was noted our staff are passionate, competent and hard working and as a team we are open to new ways of working.
