This year, the National Carers Week team are running a Young Carers Video Competition for young people aged 8-16. Both young carers and non-carers can enter.

The carers week video challenge 2012 wants people to make a 2-minute film that shows the reality of being a carer, to explore what life is like for a young carer, and how it affects their school life and friendships.

Films can be made using mobile phones or video cameras and the closing date for entries is 30th April 2012.
