SYC Training Courses
Are you... A professional?
At Sheffield Young Carers, we run training for professionals through both multi-agency courses and bespoke training in-house at your organisation.
These courses are aimed to ensure professionals can:
- Better understand the impacts that caring can have on children, young people and their families
- Be able to identify young carers
- Be better equipped to support young carers and/or their families in your own setting
- Know where to make appropriate referrals to best support young carers and their families
We can also help raise awareness amongst young people in schools and other settings by running assemblies and workshops and by sharing example session plans for you to deliver.
Aside from bespoke sessions within a range of individual organisations, we currently have the following multi-agency training courses scheduled:
- 26th March 2012: Advanced Safeguarding Refresher for School CPLOs
- 9th May 2012: Safeguarding Young Carers (1 day course) - multi-agency
- 29th May 2012: Advanced Safeguarding Refresher for School CPLOs
- 11th July 2012: Advanced Safeguarding Refresher for School CPLOs
