As a parent or relative you may feel easier, and less concerned, by the support that we may be able to offer to the young carer, knowing they have a place to go and that they can meet and socialise with other young people with similar experiences.

In addition to supporting the young carer, we may be able to offer some wider support and advice to you and your family.

We can put you into contact with organisations who may be able to offer services and support to meet your needs, such as emotional and practical advice or support.

We are also currently trying to attract grants to employ a Family Worker whose role will be to work with the family as a whole. This worker will support the cared for family member to access services and support which reduce the caring responsibilities of the young person.
